How does weather affect the schedule?

Weather can have a significant impact on the progress of your construction project. Rain is one of the primary factors that can cause delays since wet or muddy conditions make it difficult for the crew to work efficiently. A good rule of thumb is: if you are walking on the ground and you can see your footprints then the work area is too muddy for construction to proceed and delays are likely.

Extreme heat or cold can slow down crew productivity, as it affects their ability to work safely and effectively. Extreme temperatures may also prevent certain tasks from being completed such as masonry, plumbing, and electrical work. Some of these trades cannot be performed under certain conditions. If water is involved it must be at above 32 degrees. If there is office closure due to weather you will be notified by your PM, the office or social media.
