Where do my drains go?

Deck, downspout, and pool overflow drains will terminate just beyond decking where there is proper fall for water to drain away from the deck. Emerald Custom Pools uses green pop ups that only open when water is flowing through the drain to prevent debris from clogging the drain. A valve is also added (in an irrigation box) which can be closed by the homeowner to prevent excessive loss of water in the pool.

Will you fix standing water in my yard after rain?

Standing water around your pool is often caused by pre-existing drainage issues on your property. It’s important to note that pool construction primarily addresses drainage around the pool area, not the entire property.

If there are ongoing drainage concerns elsewhere on your property, they will not be automatically resolved by the pool build. However, additional drainage solutions can be implemented for an additional cost. If extra drainage work is necessary, your Project Manager will discuss options with you and determine if it should be included in or added to your construction agreement.
