National Pool Opening Day – Tips & Tricks 

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, National Pool Opening Day! It is finally the day we’ve all been waiting for when pool owners finally roll back the covers for good, and now it’s here! 

To ensure your pool is ready for the season, here are some things to consider: 

Remove Any Debris 

It is not uncommon for dirt, leaves, and any debris to have somehow made their way into your pool or underneath your pool cover. Therefore, if you have one, upon removing the cover, remove as much visible debris as possible using your vacuum, leaf rake, or leaf skimmer. 

 

Check Your Equipment

When removing your pool from hibernation, ensure your pumps are running smoothly. Look for visual damage and leaks, and test the motor for a few seconds. Next, inspect the pool equipment and lights. 

 

Have Your Water Professionally Tested

A professional water test can tell you what changes must be made. Our service and maintenance professionals are happy to help you! After hearing the diagnosis, you’ll know what you need to make your pool clean and clear again. With proper chemicals and cleaning, the process should take about a week or less before your pool is swim ready.
